Chicken Cordon Bleu

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
4 ham slices, thinly sliced
4 slices of swiss cheese
¼ cup flour
1 egg
1 cup bread crumbs
2 Tbsp. butter
Salt and pepper

Pound chicken to ¼ inch thickness.  Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of each chicken breast.  Place one cheese slice and one ham slice on each chicken breast.  Roll up; may use toothpicks if needed.  Dredge each in flour, shaking off excess, then in egg, and finally in bread crumbs.  Place seam side down in greased baking dish.  Cut up butter and dot chicken breasts with it.  Bake at 350, uncovered, for 35 minutes.

Note: You can vary the cheese by using provolone, mozzarella, or monterey jack.
