Ranch Dressing & Dip

1 cup mayonnaise
½ cup sour cream
½ tsp. dried chives
½ tsp. dried parsley
½ tsp. dried dill weed
¼ tsp. garlic powder
¼ tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. black pepper
2-3 Tbsp. milk for dressing

In a large bowl, whisk together all ingredients.  If making the dip, there is no need to use the milk.  If making the dressing, use milk to desired consistency.  Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes before serving.

Variations:
***Use ¼ cup buttermilk or sour milk instead of the ½ cup sour cream.  Omit milk.  You can sour milk by adding ½ tsp. white vinegar or lemon juice with milk to equal ¼ cup.

***Add 1 small mashed or pureed avocado to the dressing to make avocado ranch, or add 2 Tbsp. fresh cilantro to make cilantro ranch.  Both are great on taco salad.
